Villa Encantada
This was an extensive remodeling project of a 7,000 sq ft home which included all new plumbing, electrical, kitchens, bathrooms, radiant floor heating, home theater, gym with sauna, landscaping, automatic entry gate and alarm system. We removed 27 dump truck loads of walls and floors, creating a great room encompassing the kitchen, dining and living room.
The carport at the front of the house (seen in the above Before image) was demolished and we reconfigured the space as a sunroom, which expanded the kitchen to include a social area and seating for six. We enclosed the outdoor patio off the master suite on the second floor, adding 80 usable sq ft and a skylight.
On the far right side of the image you can see a door and part of a cabinet. Behind the cabinet was a wall that defined the end of the kitchen and the beginning of the carport, which is shown in the front elevation before image above.
The bi-folding glass doors spanning the entire width of the space and the large skylight we added transformed the kitchen into the home's favorite gathering spot.
The guest house at the back of the property had no proper foundation — it sat on two horizontal logs and some rotting wooden posts.
We jacked up the structure, removed the wood supports and excavated underneath. Steel beams and poured reinforced concrete replaced the wood structure.
Lap Pool
14-meter by 2-meter lap pool. The structure is poured reinforced concrete. The finishes are ceramic tile. The equipment is all state-of-the-art, including a UV filter and ozone generator, minimizing the need for chemicals.
Welded Wire Wall System
These are examples of a steel, foam and welded wire wall system we've built with locally. We custom make the panels so they can be used in almost any design.
This is a uniquely designed art studio, and the welded-wire wall system adapted easily to its complex angles.
The plaster is mixed from the desired color of earth with sand and cement, so the wall never needs painting.
